NATIONAL HEROES' DAY!

Today we commemorate the heroes who sacrificed their lives for our beloved country.

Every year, we celebrate "National Heroes' Day" to pay homage to our National Heroes. This is observed every fourth Monday of August which was initially celebrated every 30th of November. This was moved on its current date since November 30 coincided on Andres Bonifacio's birth anniversary, the founder of Katipunan.

Our country's freedom was achieved due to the noble deeds of our heroes(known and unknown). And as we celebrate, let us remember the heroes who are not with us anymore, let us honor our modern-day heroes including our Overseas Filipino Workers.

Maraming Salamat Po!

INDEED! IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES

Truly, Filipinos know how to make lemonades out of lemon. May i present to you two of the many faces of Filipinos in times of crisis. These are HUMOR and HEROISM which can be seen on these pictures:

Flood Surfing: It's More Fun in the Philippines
Haircut & Foot Spa: It's More Fun in the Philippines
Flood Jetskiing: It's More Fun in the Philippines
Kadang-Kadang: It's More Fun in the Philippines

Of course being a hero is exceptional. It doesn't require superpowers nor high-tech gadgets. There are many forms of heroism. Big and small. Told and untold. The following photos really touched the softest part of my heart.

I, as well as millions of Filipinos worldwide, salute these heroes from the bottom of our heart. Maraming Salamat po sa inyong kabutihan! Totoo pong hindi matatapatan ng salapi ang inyong magandang ugali.
