CHITCHAT WITH SARAH AT KARLS KOFFEE KORNER

Who wouldn't feel tired after an 8 hours of work?

Office supervision has been dismissed early to give way to a very tired mind and allow it to rest. When it's about time to call it a day for me, my hands started grabbing wallet, cellphones and keys and my feet escorted my whole body then suddenly I found myself in the street looking for nothing -- going nowhere!

Few steps more and I bumped into this coffee shop -- Karls Koffee Korner. I hurriedly walk inside to see it for myself without even thinking that I'm just wearing clothes which should only be wear indoor. LOL!

Ordered a cup of Cafe Mocha then rushed to a nearby sofa! As usual, this iPhone is with me so while waiting for the coffee I decided to take some pics inside the shop. Here are some:

I also invited my dear friend Sari to share with me my loneliness and experience the soothing coffee of the shop. Pictures are part of our casual chitchat, of course! Here you go ---

They also have is place where you can hang out with friends for some bottle of beers and listen to their acoustic band. Dah! Of course, the band and this iPhone App helps us spare boredom when we're there. Creative!

SUNSET REUNION!

Me and my friends who hadn't seen each other for 7 months reunited at a party! It was a weekend filled with excitement and laughter to celebrate not just Sari's birthday event but a reunion as well.

We arrived at Sunset Beach Park & Resort just in time to witness astounding painting of God -- sunset at it's best!

Since it's getting dark, we have to prepare our foods and feed ourselves.

So it's PARTY time! Everyone seems on a hurry connecting our lives, sharing each escapades and adventures. Everybody gets busy mingling with almost everyone. Ang saya! GRABE! Take a look at some of our chit-chats, poses and grooves!

We even get to enjoy dancing besides a local band. Naaahh! I failed to get the bands name but they indeed make the night bouncy and lively! Here are some proofs:

AMAZING SUSPENDED COFFEES!

This story will warm you better than a coffee in a cold rainy day!

....

We enter a little coffeehouse with a friend of mine and give our order. While we're approaching our table, two people come in and they go to the counter:

"Five coffees please. Two of them for us and three suspended."

They pay for their orders, take the two and leave. I ask my friend:

Me : "What are those suspended coffees?"
My Friend :  "Wait for it and you will see."

Some more people enter. Two girls ask for one coffee each, pay and go. The next order was for seven coffees and it was made by three lawyers -- three for them and four "suspended". While I still wonder what's the deal with those "suspended coffees", I enjoy the sunny weather and the beautiful view towards the square in front of the cafe. Suddenly a man dressed in shabby clothes who looks like a beggar comes in through the door and kindly asks "Do you have a suspended coffee?"

---

ITS SIMPLE! -- people pay in advance for a coffee meant for someone who cannot afford a warm beverage. The tradition in suspended coffees started in Naples, Italy but it has spread all over the world and in some places you can order not only a suspended coffee but also a sandwich or a whole meal.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have such cafes or even grocery stores in every town where the less fortunate will find hope and support? If you own a business why don't you offer it to your clients, I'm sure many of them will like it.

GOOD FRIDAY!

Today is Good Friday, the day in which Jesus was crucified and died. For Christians, it is a time for reflection as we remember the moment when He gave all to everyone.

THINK BEFORE YOU DRINK! MY SODA DRAMA.

Habit indeed. I used to have a bottle of soda every time I eat a meal. At some point it used to be my "water". Who could resist its sweetness anyway!

But then, when 2013 opens, health consciousness cuddles me. Haha! I don't know why.. all I know is that I wanted to be healthy! :)

SODA out! I just think of it one day when I woke up.. and so be it. This goal strengthen my desire to lessen my soda intake when I found this picture:

Whatever you choose to call it, soda / pop / soft drinks, it is bad for you. So why continue drinking it. :)
